Nancy Lakes

I knew from an early age that I wanted to become an educator and have developed a passion for working with elementary age children.  I have always found their enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy of life to be refreshing and motivating.  I find that inspiring a love of learning in the students and seeing them grow in knowledge, maturity, and self confidence is immensely rewarding.  I grew up in Dayton and graduated from Miami University.  I have been in education for over 35 years, with the past 26 at St. Albert.  I am married and have two sons and four lively grandchildren.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading, and gardening.
